Paris LRT – Line T3 – Extension between Porte d’Ivry and Porte de la Chapelle
SYSTRA was commissioned to project manage the extension of the T3 LRT between Porte d’Ivry and Porte de la Chapelle.
The Eastern section of T3 was inaugurated between Pont du Garigliano and Porte d’Ivry in 2006. In 2012, the line was extended northwards to Porte de la Chapelle, and split in two at the Porte de Vincennes: T3a (heading south/south-eastwards) and T3b (heading east/north-eastwards).
By 2017, Line T3 will have been extended northwards to Porte d’Asnières. Its extension westward to Porte Maillot is currently under discussion.
SYSTRA was in charge of complete project management for the transport system, including:
- Preliminary design studies
- Detailed studies
- Works contracts assistance to the owner
- Summary of the shop drawings and planning studies certificates
- Works contract delivery
- Acceptance operation assistance to the owner.
SYSTRA was responsible for monitoring contractor activities (a total of 30 contracts) throughout the entire project.
Despite the scale and complexity of the project, the line was commissioned on schedule mid-December 2012.
