SYSTRA was appointed project manager (sub-contracted) for preliminary design studies, civil engineering and signalling on the Honam High Speed Railway (HSR) Line.
This line will connect Osong to Mokpo, a port in the South West of South Korea. It will also connect at Osong with the Gyeongbu Line, which runs between Seoul and Busan.
Advanced signalling techniques have been used on the Honam Line to upgrade from ALSTOM’s Solid State Interlocking (SSI) to Integrated Interlocking Systems (SEI).
SYSTRA delivered the following services:
Production of signalling studies:
- Signalling programmes for stations and track switching points;
- Specifications for the interface between HSR and conventional lines.
Third party inspection of technical documents:
- Block system file;
- Technical plans for interlocking;
- Technical plans for headway;
- Signalling principles;
- Settings files.
