Mission

•The Alignment Senior Engineer will be reviewing and monitoring the project alignment  including interfaces with the civils, track/structure interaction studies, reports in the mainline tunnels, at-grade and elevated sections, elevated and underground stations, and an at-grade depot.
•Interface with the contractor’s track design and survey teams. Organize regular review meetings and progress meetings. Organize review sessions, as appropriate, to review alignment design documents, submittals, reports, shop drawings, calculation notes and related design documents.
•Review and monitor the  contractor’s final alignment designs, activities and submissions including structure gauges and clearances verifications through alignment studies.
•Review and manage alignment interfaces with civil contractors and alignment changes between all project disciplines including, rolling stock, trackwork, signaling systems and operations requirements.
•Review  related construction method statements, procedures and activities associated with the survey and setting out activities.
•Monitor alignment design progress including reviewing and contractor’s design program and list of deliverables, and producing progress reports on the same.
•Review and monitor  as-built records and coordinate consequential alignment changes as required.

Profile

The qualified professional must:

  • Minimum of 15 years of overall experience
  • Must have 10 years in Rail/Metro experience
  • Have at least 10 years of similar experience
  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering or any equivalent
