SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">Understand better who we are by visiting www.systracanada.com.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">MEP Modeller needed for an LRT Project in Ontario.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Develop and maintain coordinated mechanical Revit models for 17 LRT stops and 9 TPSS sites, under the direction of the Mechanical Engineer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Model canopy drainage (gutters, leaders, overflow and discharge points) as typical families applied across sites, including connection points to civil drainage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Model HVAC units, fans, louvres, ductwork, piping, floor drains and sumps.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Place equipment to approved layouts with access zones and maintenance clearances.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Identify the supports, pads, openings and penetrations needed from Architecture and Structural.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Run clash detection and resolve conflicts, escalating unresolved ones and missing information to the Mechanical Engineer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Produce drawings and schedules and keep model data consistent with approved changes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Follow the project BIM Execution Plan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Model to approved engineering information only, without making independent design decisions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><span><strong>Education:<\/strong> Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems or a related discipline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><span><strong>Licences \/ Certifications:<\/strong> No professional engineering licence required. Autodesk Revit certification or C.Tech\/C.E.T. (OACETT) is considered an asset.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><span><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>3 to 5 years of Revit MEP modelling of building mechanical systems: HVAC equipment and ductwork, piping, plumbing and drainage, including roof drainage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Placing equipment from layouts and vendor data with correct clearances and connections.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Coordinating with architectural, structural and electrical models and running clash detection in Navisworks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Producing plans, sections, details and schedules.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans, Levels of Development, worksharing and Autodesk Construction Cloud.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Working knowledge of the OBC as it relates to MEP coordination.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Experience with substations, equipment buildings or transit projects is considered an asset.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
