SYSTRA has been commissioned by Metroselskabet to explore route options that enhance urban life and align with Metroselskabet&#8217;s climate and environmental objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-project-description\">project description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Extending the metro line from Orientkaj station ensures a rapid and sustainable connection between outer Nordhavn and the rest of Copenhagen&#8217;s metro network. SYSTRA was tasked by Metroselskabet to conduct a program study on construction and transportation systems to evaluate potential scenarios for extending the metro line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>SYSTRA is responsible for several areas in connection with the assessment of the different scenarios and variants, including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Construction economics and methods&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental effects&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Station concepts&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geotechnics&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Underground Utility conditions&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Storm surge protection&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-focus-on-sustainability\">focus on sustainability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Metroselskabet aims to achieve a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
