<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a background in geography and transport planning, supplemented by a year of practical experience with a local transport operator, Humphrey began his career at the American engineering firm AECOM. Since joining SYSTRA, he has held a key role in the further development of PFM \u2013
the PLANET Framework Model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The model is used by HS2 Ltd, the project organization under the UK Department for Transport, to forecast demand and societal benefits for England\u2019s new high-speed rail line from London to Northwest England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humphrey\u2019s primary role has been on the HS2 project, but he has also contributed to several other exciting assignments at SYSTRA in parallel.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Humphrey has contributed to transport planning around the world, including the planning of Riyadh Metro Line 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His experience from working on Riyadh Metro Line 7 has paved the way for his current work on the FIFA World Cup 2034 in Saudi Arabia. Here, together with SYSTRA colleagues from countries including Saudi Arabia and France, he advises local authorities in Riyadh on how the city\u2019s transport system can accommodate the large number of spectators expected for the upcoming World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe most interesting aspect of the project is that in 2034, we will be able to see the impact of our work very clearly,<\/em>\u201d says Humphrey, who is particularly pleased with the close global collaboration and the ability to draw on specialized expertise from across the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A growing SYSTRA Denmark<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Humphrey met his Danish girlfriend in England, and together they moved to Copenhagen, where they now live in Valby with their young son. He has been part of SYSTRA Denmark since 2020 and experienced a major change in 2023, when SYSTRA acquired Atkins Denmark.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

At that time, SYSTRA Denmark was expanded with around 350 new colleagues \u2013 and Humphrey thus became part of an even larger professional and international community, with a strengthened Connected Teams collaboration.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have been with SYSTRA for ten years, so it goes without saying that I am very happy with my job. For me, Connected Teams means that I can be in Denmark and still contribute to projects all over the world\u2014with access to talented colleagues and specialist knowledge no matter where I am.

Humphrey Hodge has been employed at SYSTRA since 2015, where he started as a consultant at SYSTRA UK before moving to SYSTRA in Denmark in 2020.
