The electrification of the railway is a crucial part of Denmark&#8217;s strategy to achieve CO\u2082 neutrality by 2050. This effort alone reduces CO\u2082 emissions from the railway by several hundred thousand tons annually and contributes to a more climate-friendly transport network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the climate and environmental benefits, electrification lays the groundwork for a modern railway with higher speeds, more stable operations, and shorter travel times.
