The Central Apiary Register (CBR) is an IT and WebGIS solution in which all beekeepers in Denmark are required to register their apiaries, their geographical locations, and the number of bee colonies. SYSTRA redeveloped the existing register, making it simpler and more user-friendly to register bees. This new requirement forms part of the EU’s new Animal Health Law, which is intended, among other things, to help prevent and combat diseases and pests affecting animals. ## Open dialogue about tailored solutions At SYSTRA, we take an innovative approach to GIS and are always ready to find new applications for the technology, for example through open source solutions. We are not committed to using any single GIS platform or predefined methods.
