**SYSTRA Hong Kong is proud to provide comprehensive traffic consultancy services to the Airport Authority Hong Kong for the new Terminal 2, from its design phase through to construction**

Many years ago, SYSTRA Hong Kong was involved in transportation design for the
original Terminal 2. We are now honoured to collaborate once again and conducted
thorough sizing assessments to determine the optimal capacity requirements for
coach parking, vehicle circulation, and passenger facilities, ensuring the
infrastructure could efficiently meet projected demand. Our team then developed
detailed layout designs and access control strategies to promote efficient
traffic flow, safe manoeuvrings of vehicles, and convenient access for all
users.

In addition, our consultancy integrated pedestrian linkages, creating seamless
connections between the Coach Hall and airport facilities to enhance convenience
and accessibility for passengers. We also proposed interim access and temporary
facilities to maintain smooth operations and minimize disruptions during phased
construction.

Designed for simplicity, efficiency, and direct passenger and baggage flow, the
new terminal will incorporate a state-of-the-art Automated People Mover (APM)
system and an advanced Baggage Handling System (BHS) to ensure swift, smooth
connections with the Third Runway Passenger Building.

Hong Kong Airport is pressing full steam ahead with the building of a
