SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">The logistics intern assists the purchasing team with the administrative and operational management of activities related to procurement, logistics, and delivery coordination.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Help monitor suppliers and service providers;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in updating delivery and tracking information in internal systems;<\/li>\n<li>Support the team in planning the requirements for purchased parts to support production activities and spare parts needs;<\/li>\n<li>Verify and maintain certain planning data;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the preparation of reports and the monitoring of certain performance indicators;<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the analysis of logistics data to identify discrepancies or opportunities for improvement;<\/li>\n<li>Support the team in monitoring risks that could affect material flows;<\/li>\n<li>Support the preparation and monitoring of logistics activities;<\/li>\n<li>Track the delivery status of parts as needed to facilitate communication with internal teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Education:<\/strong> Currently pursuing a university degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related field.<br \/><strong>Years of experience:<\/strong> No experience required. Initial experience in internships, coordination, customer service, or administrative support is a plus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Technical skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word;<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiation and contract management skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to learn how to use ERP systems or procurement tools;<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work meticulously and ensure proper tracking of information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Personal qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attention to detail when identifying and ordering parts;<\/li>\n<li>Proactivity and a willingness to learn;<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, in French and English*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>* Reasons for the bilingualism requirement:<\/strong> You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse client base, including both French- and English-speaking companies.
