SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">Understand better who we are by visiting www.systracanada.com.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">The ALTO project is a major infrastructure initiative in Canadian history, aimed at developing over 1,000 km of new passenger rail service between major urban centers, including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Project Management Office (PMO) in analyzing and improving the performance of its business needs, including the validation, cleansing, and transformation of data.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the consistency, integrity, and standardization of project financial data to meet the PMO&rsquo;s weekly requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Design, develop, and enhance analyses, models, and datasets.<\/li>\n<li>Automate processes and promote data management best practices using tools such as Power<\/li>\n<li>Query and Power Automate, as well as other data engineering or data science tools as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate on the integration of new data sources, whether structured or unstructured, and contribute to the evolution of the analytics ecosystem.<\/li>\n<li>Document, industrialize, and operationalize the analyses and solutions delivered.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of financial analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) for PMO management and project teams.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and propose appropriate solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the documentation and traceability of processes and data flows to facilitate auditing and maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Optimize existing tools (Excel, SharePoint, etc.) to improve team efficiency and data quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Education:<\/strong> Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required (Master&rsquo;s degree considered an asset) in business analytics, business intelligence, finance, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Years of experience:<\/strong> 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Technical skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent command of Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and analytics.<\/li>\n<li>Strong skills in data management, structuring, and quality assurance.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of data modeling and data manipulation concepts (SQL, Python, or equivalent tools).<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Power Query and Power Automate.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in or knowledge of finance, organizational performance, or financial processes.<\/li>\n<li>Experience producing reports for the Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Management teams.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">*Bilingualism is required because you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of project stakeholders.
