SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">The role centers on leading project operations end-to-end&mdash;aligning engineering, procurement, schedule, budget, and risk to ensure contract-compliant delivery and seamless client communication.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead production operations with the onsite representative and service providers, ensuring day-to-day execution.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure contract-compliant delivery by coordinating engineering and procurement requests and aligning deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and control project progress and schedule, including materials deliveries and warranty issue resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Manage project budgeting and reporting to the executive team and prepare client-facing correspondence and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the risk register, track out-of-scope work, and prepare proposals for contract change orders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Education:<\/strong> Completion of a degree in applied science, engineering, or a related discipline &ndash; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Years of experience:<\/strong> Minimum of five (5) years project or production management experience related to the manufacture, design, testing, inspection, and commissioning of passenger railcars or 10 years experience for other heavy-duty vehicles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Technical competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in manufacturing or construction environment a must, preferably in rail or heavy vehicle industries<\/li>\n<li>Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">*Reasons for requiring bilingualism: You will have the opportunity to work with a varied clientele, including both French- and English-speaking companies. Bilingualism is therefore fundamental to building strong relationships with our customers, understanding their specific needs, communicating effectively in their preferred language and facilitating strategic meetings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Personal and soft skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aptitude for coordinating remote activities between multidisciplinary team members<\/li>\n<li>Implement collaborative approach with internal and external members to foster team building and strategic growth<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with various business partners including: production staff, professional consultants, small to multinational vendors, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Other requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Available to travel to Los Angeles for 1-2 weeks on some occasions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
