With over 10,300 colleagues globally and around 1000 in the UK &amp; Ireland we are growing significantly and seeking out the very best talent to join the SYSTRA signature team and be part of leading the way in infrastructure design.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;line-height: 107%;font-size: 11pt;font-family: Aptos, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt;line-height: 107%;font-family: Verdana, sans-serif\">With ambitious growth plans, this is an exciting time to join SYSTRA Ltd as we continue to develop and raise our profile in the UK, working across a variety of projects and industries, within Rail, Infrastructure, Water, Energy and the wider Built Environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;line-height: 107%;font-family: Aptos, sans-serif\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;line-height: 107%;font-size: 11pt;font-family: Aptos, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt;line-height: 107%;font-family: Verdana, sans-serif\">We currently have an opportunity for a Senior MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Automation) Engineer to join our engineering team. &nbsp;This position within our M&amp;E engineering team will suit a committed and ambitious engineer who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;line-height: 107%;font-family: Aptos, sans-serif\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;line-height: 107%;font-size: 11pt;font-family: Aptos, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt;line-height: 107%;font-family: Verdana, sans-serif\">The role will lead on engineering tasks and manage Engineers \/ Designers, Graduates and Apprentices in the efficient and effective delivery of client projects ensuring the needs of the Client and the business are met.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">To lead and contribute to design and integration on projects, ensuring Client commitments are met, delivering against quality, time and budget.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitor project team performance against contractual obligations and quality, making appropriate corrective interventions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Manage the checking and approval process to ensure compliance with both Client, project and SYSTRA processes. This includes the preparation and checking of engineering designs and calculations, taking responsibility for the management of design production.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure project requirements are effectively communicated to the team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Be expected to act as the Work Package Manager on small to medium sized projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Working knowledge with all technical standards relevant to your discipline.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist where required in work winning and marketing to maximise team and company opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff and others affected by the operations of SYSTRA throughout design lifecycle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation relevant to your discipline.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Any other duties as required.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">People Management<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Responsible for the effective management, planning, leading and motivating of direct reports, inspiring everyone to reach their full potential.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Application of procedures, initiatives and systems to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support, contribute to and recommend training for direct reports that develops their skills and experience to meet present and future skill requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Review and monitor staff performance via the formal appraisal process and other informal approaches ie. 121&rsquo;s.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">General<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Considerable expertise in own discipline to manage complex or non-standard solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrable skills of effective communication across multiple levels and stakeholders to present and discuss proposals, justifications and conclusions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience as a Line Manager is desirable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience in working with offshore production centres is desirable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proficient working on multi-discipline projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrable experience of delivering business results through effective planning and implementation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience of project planning, delivery, budgets and timescales.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">To have achieved IEng or equivalent and show demonstrable progress towards Chartered status with a professional body \/ engineering institute i.e. ICE, IET, IMechE. or equivalent<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Specific<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical design such a pumps, motor control centres (MCCs), screening equipment, low voltage electrical systems, motor control, electrical protection systems, PLCs, SCADA, telemetry and automation systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Significant experience of undertaking design &amp; delivery of projects within water, wastewater or similar process driven environments (chemical, food, petrochemical, pharmaceutical).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Good knowledge of producing Piping &amp;
