<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Coordinates cultural heritage assessments. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Develops an archaeological EMP. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Interfaces with regulators and Indigenous communities on heritage and archaeology matters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\"> Integrates mitigation measures into project design and construction planning. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Confirmation that requirements and commitments are executed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Conduct, coordinate, and supervise archaeological potential assessments as part of impact studies for major linear infrastructure projects (such as intercity passenger transport, freight transport, tramways, etc.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Oversee diagnostics, surveys, and preventive excavations, in collaboration with technical partners and regulatory authorities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Advise project teams on heritage issues and propose measures for the mitigation or enhancement of archaeological heritage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Participate in project meetings and represent the archaeological discipline to various stakeholders (project owners, government agencies, local authorities).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Organize and lead communication and awareness initiatives about archaeological findings for the public and project stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 9pt;font-family: verdana, geneva;color: #31302f\">Collaborate with First Nations as part of archaeological studies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Education: &#8211; <\/strong>a bachelor or advanced degree from a recognized university in a field of study related to historical and architectural aspects of Built Heritage Resources and Cultural Heritage Landscapes or Archaeology;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">Additional training in project management or heritage regulations would be an asset.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Years of Experience: <\/strong>7 to 10 years of professional experience, ideally acquired on large-scale projects or in complex environments (linear, urban, or rail projects).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with similar projects in the Province of Ontario.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in preventive archaeological excavation, diagnostic, and evaluation methods.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to archaeological work and heritage management.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to write high-quality study reports and to synthesize scientific data.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools and archaeological databases.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing archaeological sites in constrained environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Personal Qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with various technical profiles.<\/li>\n<li>Independence, thoroughness, and strong organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, teaching, and scientific outreach abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability, responsiveness, and ability to work in changing contexts or under tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Initiative and a proactive approach to solving complex problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
