The latest event to take place was the meeting between the excavation teams for two sections: the excavation face of the north portal left tube and adit tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile is-image-fill has-pale-blue-background-color has-background\" style=\"grid-template-columns:30% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\" style=\"background-image:url(https:\/\/www.systra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/gokay-caglar-memisoglu-systra-sws-turkiye-1005x1024.jpg);background-position:56% 33%\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/gokay-caglar-memisoglu-systra-sws-turkiye-1005x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18158716 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I would like to congratulate the teams who have been mobilised to assist IC Ictas Construction. This project has benefited from the quality of SYSTRA SWS T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;s design studies, which we began producing at the beginning of 2022. This section has yet to start;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With the new Austrian method, known as &#8216;sequential excavation&#8217;, which combines drilling by blasting and consolidation by shotcrete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A better connection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The construction of this new tunnel, scheduled to open in 2026, should cut journey times for motorists while reducing air pollution and noise pollution caused by surface traffic jams. The road network will also provide a direct connection to the Northern Marmara motorway in northern Istanbul, as well as to Istanbul International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SYSTRA in T\u00fcrkiye<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Present in the country since 2011, SYSTRA employs 125 people in T\u00fcrkiye and has a leading position in the field of complex infrastructure design, thanks to a dedicated and comprehensive expertise and consultancy offering.
