{"id":20290,"date":"2024-12-02T15:13:23","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T14:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/canada\/news\/complete-modernisation-of-the-signalling-for-the-paris-lyon-high-speed-line-with-systra\/"},"modified":"2024-12-03T17:47:48","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T16:47:48","slug":"complete-modernisation-of-the-signalling-for-the-paris-lyon-high-speed-line-with-systra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/canada\/news\/complete-modernisation-of-the-signalling-for-the-paris-lyon-high-speed-line-with-systra\/","title":{"rendered":"Complete modernisation of the signalling for the Paris-Lyon high-speed line with SYSTRA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>101 hours to change everything: this is the network challenge that teams from SYSTRA France, Eiffage \u00c9nergie Syst\u00e8mes (lead), Saferail and TGSO have been preparing for since 2019 as part of the LGV+ programme, also known as HPGV (Haute Performance Grande Vitesse).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Brought into service in 1981, the Paris-Lyon line is the oldest LGV in Europe and the busiest, with up to 13 trains per hour. Equipped with an old signalling system, its two tracks were completely regenerated by computerised signal boxes during an operation organised over the long weekend of November 11. The aim? To enable migration to the interoperable ERTMS level 2 system by 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-more-than-400-km-of-high-speed-line-to-equip\">More than 400 km of high-speed line to equip<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>SYSTRA was project manager for the design of the LGV&#8217;s 58 technical buildings, which house the line&#8217;s computer stations, from working drawings to technical checks. Our teams also drew up the technical plans for 33 signal boxes and took part in the technical checks on the entire line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/photo-groupement-sncf-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24177549\" style=\"object-fit:cover;width:760px;height:570px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Part of the SYSTRA team with SNCF R\u00e9seau during the connection weekend<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Since November 13, the signalling installations on the LGV Sud-Est line have been controlled from a new control tower based in Lyon. Now equipped, the 409-km Paris-Lyon line will be more reliable, resilient and interoperable, enabling trains from all over Europe to run on it. This will further increase the number of connections on this line in 2030, with up to 16 trains per hour in each direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile is-image-fill has-pale-blue-background-color has-background\" style=\"grid-template-columns:30% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\" style=\"background-image:url(https:\/\/www.systra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/m-bogaert-2-1-981x1024.jpg);background-position:56% 34%\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/m-bogaert-2-1-981x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24177571 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>This switchover is a world first and represents the culmination of almost five years of studies. SYSTRA France has been involved in all phases of the project since 2019. SYSTRA is contributing to this with numerous migration missions in Italy, Sweden and Denmark.
