We are seeking applications for the position ofK4 Safety Engineer (Civil) for
Mumbai Metro Line 10 & 12 Project.

## Missions/Main Duties

- Develop, implement, and monitor the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
  management plans, policies, and procedures specific to civil construction
  activities.
- Ensure integration of safety protocols in all project phases, including site
  preparation, excavation, viaduct construction, foundations, and related civil
  works.
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with
  statutory regulations, contract requirements, and approved safety plans.
- Identify unsafe practices or conditions and initiate immediate corrective
  measures.
- Ensure proper implementation of safety signage, fencing, barricading, and
  traffic management at civil work sites.
- Carry out Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
  (HIRA), and recommend preventive and mitigation measures.
- Evaluate new work activities and method statements to identify potential risks
  and ensure adequate safety controls are in place before work begins.
- Report, investigate, and document all accidents, near misses, and unsafe
  conditions.
- Conduct root cause analyses for incidents and develop action plans to prevent
  recurrence.
- Organize and conduct regular HSE induction, toolbox talks, and specific safety
  training (e.g., working at height, confined space entry) for workers and
  subcontractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture and awareness among the workforce.
- Develop emergency response and evacuation plans for the construction site,
  including fire drills and first aid procedures.
- Ensure that emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, PPE) is
  available, maintained, and accessible at all times.
- Ensure all construction equipment and tools are inspected regularly and
  maintained as per safety standards.
- Monitor the distribution and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  among site workers and enforce non-compliance penalties as per policy.
- Participate in HSE committee meetings and contribute to the continual
  improvement of safety systems at the site.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to local, state, and national safety
  laws (including IS codes, NBC, relevant acts and rules).
- Encourage reporting of near-misses and positive interventions to foster a
  proactive safety culture.

## Profile/Skills

- Education qualification – Engineering Graduate / Diploma
- Years of experience – 7 Years of Experience with Graduation / 10 Years of
  Experience with Diploma
- Prior experience requirement – 2 – 4 Years
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and
  respecting differences.
- Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery
  environment, applying industry best practices.
- Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability
  to influence without authority
- Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make
  independent decision and be a good troubleshooter.
