It is designed to accommodate a future light rail track.<br>The main cable-stayed bridge consists of a 183 m main span and 30 m and 73 m side spans. Two planes of stay cables in a \u201charp\u201d arrangement support the steel-concrete composite superstructure. The concrete pylons rest on concrete pile caps at water level. The pile caps are supported by 1.5 m diameter bored piles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:capitalize\">Benefit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This project received the 2008 Golden State Award, ACEC\u2019s (CELSOC\u2019s) highest honor for projects engineered in the State of California, and the ACEC 2008 Excellence in Engineering Design Honor Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"author":51,"featured_media":894,"parent":0,"template":"","type-market":[21],"project-market":[],"project-service":[],"project-location":[],"type-service":[37],"type-solution":[],"class_list":["post-876","projects","type-projects","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","type-market-bridges-tunnels","type-service-design"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.4 (Yoast SEO v27.4) -
