As part of the landmark METRONET expansion, a new 21-kilometre rail line, beginning in Bayswater and traveling out to Ellenbrook will comprise five additional stations with potential to add another station at Bennett Springs East.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook line is set to provide significant benefits to the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those include:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduced road congestion and reliance on private vehicle use aligning with sustainability initiatives.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seamless connections shaving nearly half the travel time off the standard commute for those travelling from Ellenbrook to Perth.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Added connectivity to support high density areas between Morley and Ellenbrook including the CBD, Midland and Perth Airport.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved liveability of communities supporting the creation of more than 3,000 jobs.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-bg-reddark is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWith the help of the SYSTRA team over the last four years, we have delivered exceptional results in project delivery and commissioning for the end client. Important to this role was the need to plan for and implement where to place critical systems including CCTV, building access systems, passenger information systems and emergency telephone networks. This required a highly collaborative and technical approach as it was important to the overall customer safety and experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the significant scale of the project, SYSTRA was required to work in close collaboration with Laing O\u2019Rourke, and the Public Transport Authority, as well as the wider stakeholder network to ensure any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/australia\/expert_insights\/complex-infrastructure\/\">system chosen would be successfully integrated across the entire project<\/a>. Adding to the complexity of the project, SYSTRA was also required to work within tight specifications and navigate a robust approval process to ensure systems achieved their desired outcomes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-outcomes-for-the-client-and-community-nbsp-nbsp\" style=\"text-transform:capitalize\">Outcomes for the client and Community&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To help design and implement the most effective communication system, SYSTRA undertook an innovative approach using BIM software. By building a team focussed on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/australia\/services\/digital-engineering\/\">digital engineering<\/a>, SYSTRA was able to use data and technology to implement a more precise solution that enabled the delivery of an integrated communications network. For example, the team was able to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/australia\/services\/digital-solutions\/bim-in-one-click\/\">BIM modelling technology<\/a> to understand what CCTV would capture at any given location, creating an understanding for potential risks and areas for improvement before integration. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, SYSTRA also utilised a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/australia\/services\/system-integration\/testing-and-commissioning\/\">Commissioning <\/a>Management Software that was directly linked to PTA\u2019s Digital Asset Delivery (DAD) software. This integration automatically generated commissioning test records for any design elements, ensuring that no design element was overlooked for installation or commissioning, and that any late <a href=\"https:\/\/www.systra.com\/australia\/services\/design\/\">design <\/a>changes, were automatically accounted for during the commissioning stage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The technology focussed approach enabled SYSTRA to better connect with other technologies and the stakeholder network to provide updates and assurance. This helped streamline delivery by reducing some of the complexity to improve efficiency, safety and performance. For the alliance partners it also meant delivering in line with the projects key objectives and vision &#8211; a high-quality product that was exceptional value-for-money.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
