\n\t\t\t\tIndonesia, as the largest South-East Asian country with nearly 300 million inhabitants, has seen the development of new large public transport projects in recent years to alleviate the recurring traffic problems in major urban centres in Jakarta and the island of Java. Modernisation and extension of the existing railway and road networks are also crucial in ensuring demographic and economic growth. SYSTRA has been present in Indonesia since the 1980\u2019s, building partnerships with the Ministry of Transportation for the modernisation of various intercity railway lines on the island of Java. After a hiatus in the early 2000\u2019s, SYSTRA was chosen in 2015 as the main design consultant for the construction of the LRT Jabodebek, helping the main contractor Adhi Karya and the future operator KAI to design the infrastructures, the rail systems, to supervise the rail system installation and manage the operation and maintenance. Since 2020, SYSTRA has also participated in the development of the MRT Jakarta. In recent years, SYSTRA’s well-known expertise in transport planning has contributed to the development of various transport projects in Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, etc\u2026 SYSTRA has now become a well-recognised International transport consultant for local transport authorities and international financial institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABDELGHANI MHEDDEN, COUNTRY DIRECTOR OF INDONESIA<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Abdelghani MHEDDEN has been actively involved in major Railway Projects in many countries in Asia and Middle East, from conceptual design stage to execution and site supervision. By starting his career as structural engineer, he has rapidly taken control of the Technical Design Centre in India, where he was in charge of civil design of metro projects in India and all over Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, he became Project Director of the Ho Chi Minh City \u2013 Line 1 project, managing all aspects of the Project from technical, contractual and budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdelghani has extended his operational skills to the South-East Asia cluster for SYSTRA, as Operation Director in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2020, he has been Country Director of Indonesia, where very promising new Infrastructure projects have come up in recent years and is in charge of overall activity of SYSTRA in the country, controlling the operations of SYSTRA projects as well as being in charge of commercial activities and business development.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

DANIELE COLDEBELLA, ASIA VICE PRESIDENT RAILWAY SYSTEM \/ HEAD OF SYSTEM GROUP<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Since 2019, Daniele has been Vice President for Railway System, in charge of boosting up systems activities within the ASIA region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniele COLDEBELLA has more than 20 years\u2019 experience in engineering for transportation working in a multicultural and international context in Italy, France and then in Singapore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, as leader of the System Group Business Line, a transversal organisation aiming to connect all systems experts at group level, Daniele is also supporting the development of new systems opportunities and the project delivery worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Chris ayles, asia vice president – Consulting<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Chris AYLES is a skilled all-round transport planner with 31 years\u2019 experience including more than 20 years in Asia. During this time and working from bases in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and his current base of Singapore, he has been involved in many projects across the region including these bases as well as Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Oman, Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris has a strong technical background and remains involved in the working level of many projects ranging from highways, public transport and waterborne transport studies through to development focused studies ranging from the masterplanning level through to detailed design and traffic and pedestrian advisory studies. He is a very experienced project director and manager who has is familiar with the requirements of private sector, public and funding agency clients alike, and in working as part of multi-disciplinary teams. Today he combines technical responsibility with that of following up leads for new prospects and marketing for the areas for which is he responsible.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
