SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Context<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">Within the Environment team, you will assess, model, and mitigate noise and vibration impacts for public transit and heavy-rail projects from planning through commissioning. You will ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations, optimize technical solutions, and support clients, authorities, and communities in delivering high-performing projects with strong social acceptability.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Missions\/Main Duties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and deploy urban and rail noise\/vibration measurement campaigns; ensure protocols, instrumentation, quality, and safety.<\/li>\n<li>Model noise and vibration across design, construction, and operations; define and optimize mitigation measures.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate acoustic\/vibration requirements into plans and specifications with cross-disciplinary coordination; contribute to impact studies and permitting.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee acceptance testing, construction monitoring, and performance verification; recommend corrective actions.<\/li>\n<li>Produce clear, auditable technical deliverables and present results to technical audiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Profile\/Skills<\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Education :<\/strong> Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering\/physics\/acoustics or equivalent.<br \/><strong>Years of experience:<\/strong> 3 years of relevant experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Technical competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in environmental and vibration acoustics applied to transportation.<\/li>\n<li>Strong command of applicable Qu&eacute;bec\/Canadian standards and frameworks, and familiarity with common municipal\/provincial\/federal criteria; awareness of international best practices in rail\/transit.<\/li>\n<li>Proven field measurement skills, data processing, uncertainty analysis, and QA\/QC protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with acoustic\/vibration modeling tools and software; comfortable with GIS and computational\/visualization tools.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to translate technical results into practical, cost-optimized recommendations for design and construction.<\/li>\n<li>ASP Construction card and railway safety training, an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px\"><strong>Personal qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership, autonomy, and sound professional judgment.<\/li>\n<li>Rigorous, organized, and able to prioritize and decide under tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills in French and English, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><!---text--> <\/h2>\n<p><p style=\"margin: 0px\">SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
