It will also celebrate the Kingdom&#8217;s position at the heart of the Islamic world by better serving Muslims hailing from all continents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve this, the network will encompass a total of 12 lines, five of which will be bus rapid transit (BRT) and the other seven, traditional lines. Implementing the plan will require the reorganization of many roads by designating reserved lanes, priority access at intersections and specific road markings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To encourage adoption among the city&#8217;s inhabitants and pilgrims, the RCMC promises a maximum interval of 15 minutes between buses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SYSTRA will supervise implementation of the project from review of the preliminary and detailed designs through to construction.
