Missions/Main Duties
About the job
- Conduct the internal safety training on time as per the job function.
- Review and frequently inspect items according to the inspection plan.
- Ensure safe handling/storage & delivery for the different types of goods.
- Carry out weekly reports for the unsafe finding / unsafe acts.
- Ensure safe, proper tools are always used by the employees.
- Conduct the proper investigations after any accident.
- Ensure the provision of evacuation procedures and protocol are in place.
- Follow up the implementation of the project HSE requirements, HSE regulations, all relevant legislation and client requirements. Working with the involved parties to rectify the nonconformities and deviations.
- Participate with the senior and leads level in monitoring the construction activities and facilities inspection and make sure that these are executed as per the project HSE inspection and testing plan.
- Support visible HSE leadership such as, HSE walk-downs for all areas, deviations reporting, recommended solutions and participation in the regular Toolbox Talks.
- Follow up the implementation of all actions, works and services undertaken by the site functions and ensure to be in accordance with the respective of the MSRA, PTW, lifting plans and corrective action plans.
- Participate in incident control duties during major accident, emergencies or drills. Work with the emergency group for emergency facilities inspection.
- Immediately report the HSE Non-Conformance and Incident to the senior or leads level and work with the involved parties for the corrective actions. Periodically report the rectification status and update the performance logs.
- Follow up the actions with the subcontractors as per the walk down results, meetings actions and the performance review action plans.
- Give necessary HSE induction for all newcomers, keep necessary records.
- Follow hazard report initiated by site staff, taking necessary action to eliminate and prevent the hazards.
Profile/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with any discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management within the Construction industry is a proffered.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards relevant to the industry.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess HSE challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or similar HSE credentials are highly desirable.
- Good knowledge about creating HSE documentation and statistics.
Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Language proficiency: good in English
