	LIGHT RAIL PROJECT IN MARTINIQUE
	SYSTRA was awarded two new contracts by the mixed consortium in charge of the 11 km light rail project linking Fort-de-France and Lamentin: Firstly, it was commissioned to sharpen the project in regards to: - Intermodality and complementarity of future networks (light rail, urban and departmental transport systems); - Fare system and computer ticketing; - Organisation of the operating of the future system. Moreover, within the framework of the pre-project of section 2, SYSTRA is carrying out the insertion and impact studies, as co-subcontractor with a local architect firm, which is responsible for urban, architectural and landscape aspects. These studies should be completed by the summer of 2005. The entire line should be fully operational by 2011, while line sections will open progressively as they are built.
