SYSTRA has signed a contract of technical assistance for the renovation of the Bucharest underground rolling stock, after an international call for tenders. Work started in March 2002, and will last until the end of 2006. This is a confirmation of SYSTRA's strong presence in Romania, five new contracts concerning both urban and rail transports having been signed there since the beginning of this year.
Rehabilitation projects for urban transport networks are developing in Central and Eastern Europe, concerning both rolling stock and infrastructure.
