Turnover and Profits up for SYSTRA Group

The SYSTRA group has recorded a significant increase in its activity and profits to year end 2007.

Consolidated turnover rose by more than 10% from 205.4 million euros in 2006 to 226.9 million euros in 2007.

The Group recorded a net profit of 12.7 million euros.

The Middle East remains the major growth area. North Africa has also contributed to the increase in activity.

After a few difficult years, Asia has bounced back with growth of more than 50%, due to the launch of several major projects in India and in Vietnam.

In France, 2007 marked the completion of several important contracts (the Marseilles tramway and Line B of the Toulouse metro). However, business has continued to be strong in urban and rail transport.

The other subsidiaries in the Group, in particular MVA Consultancy Ltd, MVA Asia and Hong Kong, SYSTRA Consulting in the United States, CANARAIL in Canada and SOTEC Ingénierie in France, have all contributed to the Group’s growth and profits.

The SYSTRA Group forecasts a further increase in its activity in 2008 on all continents.
