Operational security engineers (FMDS) ensure reliability, maintenance, availability and safety.
They carry out risk analyses, safety and other studies, which ensure that the transport system and all its components (software and hardware) have attained the desired level of safety and maintenance.
They draw up safety documents for the commissioning of transport systems.
Baptiste, operational security engineer
"My first job at SYSTRA was working on a line extension project for the Lyon metro. After a few months, I was assigned to the London project and then to Dubai, where I go every month to meet the companies responsible for preparing safety documents. I’m very motivated by the trust that SYSTRA put in me so soon after my arrival and by the different types of project I work on.
In our job, which is based on expertise, the greatest challenge for someone so young is to be credible with customers who probably expect someone more experienced. Gradually gaining their trust and convincing them of the quality of your work is tough, but very rewarding."
