At the beginning of June, SYSTRA won a bid to inspect the designs for the Delhi Signature Bridge, reaffirming its reputation as a specialist in large-scale bridge projects.
The Signature Bridge is a unique cable stay road bridge over the river Yamuna at Wazirabad (in the northern district of Delhi), which will eventually become a new landmark for the city. The bridge is 575 m long, with a central span of 251 m. It is 36 m wide (8 lanes) and has a single steel pylon 157 m high, which is a stunning piece of architecture. SYSTRA, in partnership with the local civil engineering company, Tandon, and consultant, Michel Virlogeux, will inspect preliminary and detailed studies over a period of four months.
