Hanoi Metro (Vietnam)

The pilot line is the first metro line to be built in Vietnam. It will eventually be connected to the five others metro lines by 2030, forming the backbone of the Hanoi transport network.

This first line will run East-West across the city. It will serve 12 stations including three centres of higher education, the Temple of Literature and Hanoi Central Station, the terminus. 12.5 km long, this line comprises a 5.5 km single track U-viaduct and a 4 km twin tunnel structure.

Since November 2007, SYSTRA has been acting as General Consultant, responsible for all design studies of the project, the preparation of tender documents and assistance with reviewing the bids and awarding contracts. SYSTA also helps the client with financial management of the project and will be responsible for supervision of works during the construction and installation phase. Finally, SYSTRA will provide assistance to the operator in preparing for operations and maintenance.
