ADIF, the Spanish rail network operator, has awarded a contract to a consortium composed of SYSTRA and GETINSA to provide low current technical assistance (the line will be equipped with ERTMS level 2 signalling) for the planned high-speed Cordoba-Malaga line, due to come into service in 2008. The contract, which amounts to 6.2 million euros in total, follows the audit of the Madrid-Lerida high-speed line which was awarded to SYSTRA last summer.
